March 18th: Weekend Update

This past weekend was so amazing!
Friday I was at the office most of the day.
After work, I ended up getting drinks with friends and going to a show at the 'Foxhole'.

Went to JCPenney and bought a few inexpensive pieces.
Loving this sweater/shawl that I only paid $8 for!
Also bought:
-nude super pleated chiffon miniskirt ($4)
-black and gold glitter skinnies ($4)

Gotta love 'Bobby's Bar'.
Can't beat $6 pitchers and cheap pool with friends.

Saturday night, Jeremy and I drove up to Atlanta for St. Patrick's Day Weekend
We hung out with friends Saturday night at 'Jack's Pizza'.
Sunday afternoon, Jeremy and I went shopping in 'Little Five Points' and ate lunch at the 'Vortex'.
Later on that night, our friend Brent met up with us and we went to the 'Tabernacle'.
I cannot believe I got to see one of my all time favorite bands: 'Deftones'

I've never been to the Tabernacle before, fell in love with the old building.

SOLD OUT Concert!
Luckily we got pretty good seats on the first balcony, right next to the stage.

And of course I had to get a little shopping in while I was in Atlanta.
Bought a few bargains.

One can easily get caught up in the expensive fashions in Atlanta.
I always buy things at reasonable prices, even up there.
The pieces from Urban Outfitters were all originally $50+ so I love catching things on clearance.

Purchased from 'Urban Outfitters':
-'Pins and Needles' teal dress with a back cutout ($10)
-'Pins and Needles' blue lace peplum dress ($10)
-'Silence and Noise' metallic patent leather purse ($10)
-Black chiffon high-low skirt

Purchased from 'Ragorama':
-Black and cream cut-out dress with a high-low hemline ($23)
-Black and gray floral quarter-sleeve dress ($5)

This trip was just what Jer and I needed.
Loved the time I got to spend with him and Boopi(yes, we brought him up to the A!)

March 10th: Weekend Update (White Trash Bash)

So Saturday was my good friend Chris' birthday.
It was a White Trash Bash and was totally awesome.
There was a lot of preparation for this party.
Chris' girlfriend Taylor and myself cooked a lot of food for the huge Nacho Bar.

Sam went redneck chic in the Camo tshirt and backwords hat.
I kept it classy with my 'Total Recall' wife-beater, daisy dukes, slippers, and curlers in my hair.

Jer got a Mullet haircut and a badass dragon tat on his neck.

My friend Brent and I made 350 jello shots for the occasion.
Flavors included:
-Cranberry, raspberry, with rum
-Peach whiskey
-Black cherry, rum, vodka
-Strawberry margarita with tequila
-Lime margarita with tequila
-Lime pineapple rum

Was definitely a night to remember.
the turnout was huge and Chris definitely brought in 2-5 right.

March 4th: Weekend Update (Cuckoo's Nest Skate Competition)

Here's a glimpse into my weekend
Saturday there was a Skateboard competition at the Foxhole bar.
It was put on by our local skate shop 'The Cuckoo's Nest'.
Very entertaining see the boys play a game of S.K.A.T.E for beer and other prizes.
Plus, some friends from Lagrange made it out :)

February 22: Last Call for Alcohol

Last night was Man Made Sea's last show @ the Foxhole.
It was bittersweet. On one hand, all our friends were here and we had a blast.
But for the past three years, this band has been a big part of my life.
They're music is amazing, but the boys are all moving in different directions.
I cannot wait to see whats next for everyone.

Ruth, Kristin, and I

The Big 2-4
At midnight, we toasted Brittney's birthday!
Was so happy to have her here with her brother(Jer) and I to bring in her birthday.

Hooker love <3

Kristin (who usually is slinging drinks at the Foxhole) and I enjoyed our night off work.
Insert bedazzled leopard flask full of whiskey here.
My man <3 He's such a talented musician.
There's something super sexy about a guy playing drums.

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Friday night.

February 19th

It's very dull and gray outside, so I decided to layer up in some colorful clothes today.

If you haven't already noticed, I have an eclectic mixture of thrifted pieces, pricey statement items, and other unique clothes from various department stores or boutiques.
My main goal of this blog is to reflect how easy it is to acquire good items of clothing at reasonable prices. I rarely spend a lot of money on big ticket items, because I can find just as lovely things at a thrift store. I balance out the thrifted items with other "name brand" items.

Outfit Details:
Chiffon multicolor dress from ROSS
Thrifted turquoise sweater
Thrifted necklace
Red tights
Black knee-high socks from JCPenney
Steve Madden black combat boots

The rain is hindering me from wearing my new boots! I sprayed them last night with suede protector but I wouldn't dare put them through today's weather.
Obsessed with Minnetonka moccasins (this is my 6th pair).
You can find these amazing Double Fringe Tramper Boots here.

(I bought these on Zappos.com for a very reasonable price.)
